Paddle boating

Michael's sister Jennifer stayed with us for 11 days and while she was here we were able to go on a couple of dates. On August 13th we went Paddle boating, then ate dinner at Red Lobster. Paddle boating only cost us $5.00 for a half hour of boating, I don't think we made it that long. It was such a nice day and not too hot. There were ducks on the pond, some other boaters were feeding them. Red Lobster was great too, I love getting gift certificates!

Washington Park

On the 11th of August we went to Laramie to see some friends and go to Will's 15 month check up. Joshua wanted to go to the park while we were there, he loves Washington park, so I took some pictures. After the park we went to a good friends house to visit and enjoy a wonderful meal then off to the doctors office after that. It was a short trip but I am very thankful I still live so close to Laramie so I can go up for the day if I want to.

Water table and sprinkler time.

Joshua loves playing with this sprinkler (thank you Danielle), Will loves playing with the water table. Sometimes I think he wishes he could join Joshua running around in the water, maybe next summer. For now Will loves to play with the water table. I usually just leave his clothes, which end up soaked in the end. :) His favorite thing to do is drink it, thankfully I put clean water in the table every time we use it. Unfortunately there won't be many more sprinkler days before the cooler weather. We will have to do that more.

A trip to our pool

On August 7th we walked to our pool. Joshua loves going and Will doesn't care too much for the water, but we enjoyed our time and I think Joshua had a blast.

Will is 15 months old!

August 5th Will turned 15 months old. He is now crawling like crazy and loves to crawl up stairs. He can now pull him self up to standing and is walking along furniture, he can even walk while holding onto our hands now too. He is jibber jabbing more and more but hasn't learned any new words. He does have an opinion though and I'm sure the words will come soon. He is a fairly good eater, better than Joshua at this age and I'm hoping he won't be such a picky eater like Joshua is now. He gets really upset when I sit down at the computer and crawls over to me as fast as possible, then complains loudly. So I haven't been at my computer much when he is awake. That is why these posts come in groups.

We went to Laramie for Will's well visit last week on the 11th. The visit went well and it was great to see the doctors again, I love living this close to our doctors there.

Weight: 21 pounds 2 ounces
Height: 31 7/8 inches
Head 50 Centimeters

We didn't get any immunizations there since we live in Colorado and the immunizations are state funded. We will make a visit to our local public health for those.

Ice cream truck

After the Childrens Museum I took the boys to my sisters house in Arvada, Colorado. Just as we arrived an ice cream truck was driving by. It had the classic ice cream truck music and Joshua thought it was cool. He has never bought ice cream from a truck before so I thought it would be fun for him. The truck stopped for us and he got the cheapest thing there, a cotton candy flavored ice cream on a stick thing.

Childrens Museum

After the Denver Zoo on the 5th, I thought I would take the kids to the Childrens Museum to play since we were already in close by. We bought a year memberships so we can go back and play more, our boys love it there. Will fell asleep in the car on the way over so he slept in the stroller for an hour of our stay there. Once he woke up I took the boys downstairs to the baby area. They have a very neat place for the babies and toddlers to play. It looks like the outdoors with fake Aspen trees and logs for them to crawl through. Joshua had fun painting, playing with bubbles, grocery shopping, and helping me build a little box for him. Joshua enjoyed the toddler area too, it was fun watching the boys play together and giggle with each other. I am looking forward to our next trip down there.
