Will is a pro!!

Last night as Michael and I were watching a movie I could hear Will start to wake up and fuss on the baby monitor. We have a video monitor so we can see what goes on. Well Michael and I were watching Will get upset that his pacifier was not in his mouth. I was about to save him when he found the pacifier (in his sleep) and put it back in his mouth with his eyes closed. It was the cutest thing to watch. About 5 minutes later the same thing happened but this time the pacifier was a little difficult to get to and he almost dropped it through the rails of his bed. As I was going up stairs to help him out Michael yelled up (a quiet yell) that he was able to get the pacifier in his mouth. Will then covered himself up with a blanket rolled over and went to sleep. I wonder how often this happens at night. It sure makes me want to put a lot of pacifiers in his bed at night!

Joshua's Burger King Birthday Party.

Yesterday was Joshua's birthday party for his friends at Burger King. I think it all went well. I'm glad we didn't have everyone come over to our tiny little townhouse, Burger King worked perfectly.

Thank you everyone who came Joshua had a blast!!! Thank you all for your gifts!!!

Joshua is 4!!!

Joshua is now 4 years old and it is so hard to believe. We had a very busy, fun filled birthday and I believe it was a success. When Will got me up that morning I wrapped Joshua's presents and displayed them on the couch. Joshua was so happy to see his gifts sitting there nicely waiting to be opened. I liked having him open his gifts in the morning so he could play with his toys all day. He is really into castles, knights and dragons so we bought him a large castle with a dragon on it. The castle does many neat things. That was the big gift and we got him a few smaller items. After gifts Joshua requested heart french toast. It was such a big hit on Valentines day that he wanted to have it again.

After Breakfast we went to book babies (for Will) Joshua had fun showing off his birthday shirt and having everyone sing happy birthday to him. at 12:30 we had an appointment for Will, since he isn't crawling yet and has poor posture the doctor wanted to have him checked out at the developmental preschool. A physical therapist will be vising us once every other week to help him start moving.

That morning Joshua had mentioned he wanted to get his hair cut so off we went to the parlor. He did very well, so much better than last time so we took him for a small ice cream cone. We went back to the house for another nap and so Joshua could play with all of his things. Then later that afternoon we went to corona village for his birthday dinner. Joshua thought it was pretty neat that they sang happy birthday to him and put on a big hat. This has become a family tradition.

The beautiful trees that morning. I had told Joshua that God decorated the trees just for his special day. He thought that was very neat, then later was sad that they melted.

My boys

Joshua enjoying the ice cream. The silly boy that he is eats the ice cream out of the cone with a spoon then doesn't eat the cone.

Look Mom... I'm 4!!! All day he had told people that he was 3 when they would ask him how old he was. That morning I had told him that he wasn't actually 4 until 3:05pm so then he started telling people he was 3 and I would have to tell everyone the story. Once 3:05 hit he told everyone he was 4. This picture was taken at 3:05!!

Valentines Day

It is safe to say Valentines Day was very enjoyable. We celebrated the day with Joshua but Michael and I are celebrating it this coming Saturday instead because of lack of funds. Joshua woke up that morning with a Valentine gift on his little table. That morning I thought I should make him a heart felt envelope to put his little cards and candies in. He loves cards and little bags and pockets so this was perfect. We had the card mailed to Loveland Colorado so we could get the special little stamp on the card. Below is a picture of Michael's card. We also got him a little Knight and Dragon toy which he loves. Today he got the same toy from a wonderful friend for his birthday and think it is the best thing ever to have two of them.

For breakfast I made heart french toast, which Joshua said we should eat 'every morning', later he made a necklace with crochet hearts I made for him.

Joshua's Birthday Party at Chuck E Cheeses

We had a fun time last Saturday at Chuck E Cheeses for Joshua's Birthday. We met up with my sisters Wendee and Heather and Wendee's three kids. Michael's Mom, Dad and Sister met up with us as well. Joshua had a BLAST playing all the games, eating the pizza, cake, and opening the gifts. Thank you everyone for an enjoyable time.

What was left of the cake. I forgot to take the before picture. It was a pretty yummy cake.

My husband is amazing.

I want him at home for Will's nap times and bed time, and not only because I like him around. It takes Michael 2 minutes to get Will to sleep! He pats Will rolls over, Michael pats his bum and in 2 minutes he is out!!! Amazing!!!

Happy 9 Month Birthday Will!!!

I cannot believe my baby is 9 months old today!! It amazes me how quickly they grow and learn.

Will weighs about 17 pounds now, we haven't had him officially weighed but I think that is about how much he weighs. He has a well visit next week. He loves to pat things, his toys, the wall, water in the bath tub, cold windows, things that make noise, my face, his brothers head, anything really he just loves to pat. Will can sit up very well but I still like to have a pillow behind him. He is starting to sit up extremely straight then try to lean forward and walk his hands in front of him to grab things. He still cannot get up on his hands and knees by himself yet. Will loves to eat baby food, puffs, and gram crackers. We will be starting him on homemade meat baby food this week I hope. Will loves his pacifier, blanket, and mommy. Lately he will lay his head on my shoulder and snuggle with me, I love it!

Last night I we started sleep training Will with Tracy Hogg's method in her book The Baby Whisperer It is called the PI/PD (Pick Up, Put Down) method where you lay the baby down then you pick him up to comfort him and once he is quiet you lay him down and keep doing that. The first time last night that we did this it took him 35 mins to get back to sleep then about 20 mins each time after that. I only got up with him 3 times last night which is AMAZING and I hope it gets better tonight. We started this method with Joshua when he was 14 months old and he started sleeping through the night in 5 days!!!

Well here are some pictures of Will from today! Happy 5 months my baby!!!

A good pic.

Here is a picture I thought looked cute of our boys. Joshua loves to hold Will and would hold him all the time if we would let him. Surprisingly enough Will does a great job in his lap and is happy long enough for me to take some good pictures.

Stroller Cover

I came across this Secure2me cover one day and thought it looked easy enough for me to make. I took a blanket I had sewn a while back with multiple pieces of Denim on it for the outside and a soft fleece blanket for the inside. I already had the mitten clips on hand so it was a super quick and free project. I plan on making one more for the car seat so I can return the oh so nice car seat cover back to its owner.

I also bought a plastic stroller cover to go over the entire stroller so we can go on walks when it isn't that warm out or it's raining.

If you click on the picture you can see where it clips to the stroller.

Good friends

Joshua's really good friend is moving around the month of March. We were sad to learn that they were moving as Michael and I are good friends with the family but are more sad for Joshua. This little boy is Joshua's only friend at church, or so he says. Hopefully our family can get well quickly so we can have lots of play dates before they move.

Bathing Boys

Will is at that age now where he can sit up in the bathtub, and that makes Joshua very happy. Joshua loves it when it is bath time so he can join Will in the tub. Will loves bathing and everything that goes with it. He loves to splash in the water and chew washcloths. He does a great job sitting up in the bath tub but every now and then his little body goes slipping away and I have to catch him before he goes under.

These pictures were taken in January.

Camo Boys

I thought it would be cute to have the boys where these camouflage outfits. Joshua thought it was fun to be like twins.
