Look out here comes Will!

Will is now able to climb the stairs and has been able to for about a week. He also pulls himself to standing quite a bit now but still has the wobbly legs so it will be some time before he starts walking the furniture. He does get up on his knees a lot now so he can get to the things he wants to touch and play with. He loves crawling up the stars and is so proud of himself when he starts to go up them. When I go to grab him he giggles like he got away with something. One other first... Yesterday he finally understood what please means and can now say it in sign language if you ask him to, I love it!!

Father's Day

For Father's Day this year I took the boys to the dollar store and had Joshua pick out something he thought his dad would like. The first thing he said he wanted to get Michael was a book. Of course all they had were kids books or books for women so I tried to get him interested in something else. We were in the same isle as the office supplies so he picked up some pencils and said Daddy needed those, they had High School Musical on them :) As he was walking around the store he saw a box mix of cookies then a box mix of a cake and said Daddy NEEDED a cake for Father's Day. We walked around some more and he found a huge party hat and later some M & M's. I think he did pretty good!

New Belgium

On June 11th Michael's cousin and her boyfriend came to town to tour the breweries and invited us to go along. We found ourselves a sitter and went out to have fun. The tour was fun, we had a great tour guide and enjoyed the company of our friends. I didn't know that the tour was free when you start out. They give you one token for a free beer from the counter and as you tour they give you more beer to sample. At the end we could take our pictures on a stationary bike they had. They had a gift shop of course and you could buy beer if you wanted to but we didn't, we just enjoyed the free date. At the end of the tour they had post cards you could fill out if you wanted to and they would send them any where you wanted. Michael sent one to me.

Childrens Garden

June 11th Michael's Grandparents and Aunt were in Cheyenne so we drove up to see them all. That afternoon we took the boys to the Children's Garden in Cheyenne. It is so beautiful and Joshua had a blast, Will took a nap in the stroller. They had several sand play areas, a puppet theater, some places to play chess and other games, a pond, you could plant flowers (if you brought your own), Joshua and I even had a potato sack race. I plan on going back there a lot this year.

Water table

June 8th we bought the boys a water table. We were trying to think of something they would both enjoy that would be cheaper than going to the pool all the time. Joshua had so much fun playing with it that day and has played with it a few days since then.

Our trip

We left for our big trip out East on June 23rd and got home on the 7th of July. We stayed at Michael's Sister and family's house for the weekend. Joshua had a ton of fun playing with their children. They played with blocks, cars, in their yard and at the splash pad. We had a great time at the Iowa City mall riding the carousel and playing in the Children Museum. Joshua was very sad that we had to go but it helped that our next stop had children too.

My handsome men on a break during the trip out East.

After Misty's house we drove to Charleston Illinois to my dear friends house. It was her wedding on the 3rd so I helped her with some last minute preparations for her big day it was so much fun and I loved being her matron of honor. I put together a bag of goodies with any possible item we might need, safety pins, lotion, hairspray, bobby pins, tide cleaner, etc. This is probably the last wedding I will be in and it was a great way to go out. I loved every second of this wedding, thank you Danielle for allowing me to be in it! Unfortunately I have no pictures of the wedding (since I was in it) so Danielle if you have some pictures I want them!!

While we were in Charleston I had a lot of fun with Jillian my little buddy for the time being. I painted her nails and curled her hair, I had a lot of fun playing with Danielle's girl. She has quite the personality and makes me laugh constantly. Tyler is hilarious too, he draws some pretty impressive pictures can play video games very well and was a great play mate for Joshua. Will had a lot of fun playing in their large house. He wasn't too sure about the dogs at first and would cry anytime they barked but as time went on he loved those dogs and would hug on them and giggle at them. Danielle has one step down from their dining room to their living room. While we were there Will became a pro at crawling up and down them. He can now pull him self to standing (another thing he learned to do there).

Tyler and Joshua. Joshua was very mad that Tyler had to leave and was not willing to give me a smile

Joshua, once again was sad to leave, he had acquired two little buddies. Joshua loved drawing, playing video games and just playing pretend with Tyler, Danielle's son. Jillian was a ton of fun to but enjoyed more of the girlie things like dress up and playing mom and dad. One day we enjoyed the sprinkler outside and another day we took Joshua, Will and Jillian to the pool. Joshua LOVED the water slide and would go on it all day long if he was allowed to. We all enjoyed wonderful company with Danielle and her now husband and their wonderful cooking. We are so sad they live so far away (a 15.5 hour drive) and are looking forward to seeing them again soon.

While they boys and I were in Charleston Michael's friend Nathan picked up Michael and took him to Indianapolis to spend a couple of days with him. Then Monday night we met half way to pick him up. It was great to meet Nathan we have all talked with him for awhile now online but had yet to meet him. We are looking forward to seeing you again in October.

We are now in Ft. Collins and settled in, enjoying the Colorado weather. Our next visitors will be arriving on July 28th from Texas and I cannot wait to see them!!

Will's new room and Update

Here are some pictures of Will's new room. I was finally able to take them after his nap yesterday. I love his little room and he enjoys playing in it and reading the books. Joshua and Will both love our new house. The other day Joshua said 'I'm excited not to go to our old house again' I think the moving process was a little much for him and he is glad to be in one location.

Will's closet

I cannot believe Will is 13 months old!!

He started crawling on Mothers Day and it one week he went from not crawling to crawling, pulling him self to kneeling, and being able to sit up from being on his back or belly. He is so mobile and it is cute watching him get to where he wants to go. His physical therapist was thrilled to see him improve so quickly. I still need to get in touch with a physical therapist here in Ft. Collins though, he still slouches pretty badly so we need to work on his back muscles.

Will eats no more baby food. He loves yogurt, mac and cheese, fruit, green beans, really anything we are eating he likes to eat. He just likes food. He likes drinking water and Pedia-sure (I give him half Pedia-sure with half milk). The doctor suggested giving him Pedia-sure to thicken him up. Will likes trying to eat with a fork and can take the food off the fork in his mouth but cannot get food back on it.

Since we moved into our new place from day one 11 days ago he has slept through the night!!! I guess he just cannot share a room with anyone. Before we moved out of our old house we had him sharing a room with us so Joshua could sleep better. I am so glad he sleeps here!!! What a blessing for sure. At our old house he was waking up every 3 to 4 hours and would nurse 2 to 3 times in the night. During the day he would nurse twice. Since he has been sleeping so well here he no longer nurses at night and he dropped a day feeding. The last time I nursed him was two days ago so we will see if we are done. I have a feeling we are and at this moment I am fine with it. Yesterday I was not so we will so what comes of today.

Will almost 13 months old on the trolley in Ft. Collins. It was a fun thing to do and only cost us $2.00
