Will's new room and Update

Here are some pictures of Will's new room. I was finally able to take them after his nap yesterday. I love his little room and he enjoys playing in it and reading the books. Joshua and Will both love our new house. The other day Joshua said 'I'm excited not to go to our old house again' I think the moving process was a little much for him and he is glad to be in one location.

Will's closet

I cannot believe Will is 13 months old!!

He started crawling on Mothers Day and it one week he went from not crawling to crawling, pulling him self to kneeling, and being able to sit up from being on his back or belly. He is so mobile and it is cute watching him get to where he wants to go. His physical therapist was thrilled to see him improve so quickly. I still need to get in touch with a physical therapist here in Ft. Collins though, he still slouches pretty badly so we need to work on his back muscles.

Will eats no more baby food. He loves yogurt, mac and cheese, fruit, green beans, really anything we are eating he likes to eat. He just likes food. He likes drinking water and Pedia-sure (I give him half Pedia-sure with half milk). The doctor suggested giving him Pedia-sure to thicken him up. Will likes trying to eat with a fork and can take the food off the fork in his mouth but cannot get food back on it.

Since we moved into our new place from day one 11 days ago he has slept through the night!!! I guess he just cannot share a room with anyone. Before we moved out of our old house we had him sharing a room with us so Joshua could sleep better. I am so glad he sleeps here!!! What a blessing for sure. At our old house he was waking up every 3 to 4 hours and would nurse 2 to 3 times in the night. During the day he would nurse twice. Since he has been sleeping so well here he no longer nurses at night and he dropped a day feeding. The last time I nursed him was two days ago so we will see if we are done. I have a feeling we are and at this moment I am fine with it. Yesterday I was not so we will so what comes of today.

Our new house!!

I finally have pictures of our new house. I took them yesterday. I'll take a picture of Will's room when he wakes up from his nap. We just had a garage sale today and already took our left overs to the thrift store so I'll take a picture of our garage soon.

Moving is coming along

All of our closets are completely packed and the kitchen is completely packed. All we have left to pack are some toys of Will's in the living room and little odds and ends that will fill one box per room probably. Today I was able to get the oven, freezer, and light covers clean. Michael helped me clean our patio. Our address had been changed, we got our bills switched over. All we need to do is get some plastic wrap stuff for furniture, get the truck, load it, and leave. We are ready for the move to happen that is for sure.

Tomorrow we will drive down to Ft. Collins to take our T.V and some other odds and ends that don't fit well in boxes. I want to clean the bathrooms, kitchen, vacuum and if needed shampoo the carpets in our new place. Then on Thursday we will load everything in the truck and leave.

I am really glad we aren't moving too faraway from Laramie. I do like the people but I do not like the weather (it snowed here yesterday) and am looking forward to being closer to my sisters in Denver.

Boxes...

I have been very busy boxing up our items this last week and have no where else to put boxes really. Today I plan on getting more boxes and will probably be finished packing, aside from some clothes, toys and a few movies that is. Here are some pictures of our house piled almost to the ceiling with boxes.

All that we need to pack in our closets are our clothes!

Joshua has had fun drawing on the boxes.

Ft. Collins here we come.

We found out yesterday that we for sure got the town home in Ft. Collins! We are so excited to start this new chapter in our lives. About 4 days ago we put an add in the UW classifieds for our current town home. Since we are moving out 2 months before our lease was up we needed to find someone to finish our lease so we wouldn't have to pay double rent. We showed the house to 5 people two days ago and yesterday someone signed the lease!! We are so thrilled that we don't have to pay double rent now. I have been busy packing and actually don't have much packing left to do. Tomorrow we will be in Gillette and will come home Saturday afternoon, Sunday will be our last church service at our church here in town but we plan on going to the church picnics this summer so we can still see our friends. Then Wednesday we will go to Ft. Collins to clean up our house down there and will make the move the next day. It will be crazy but I'm sure we will be glad to be down there once we get there. I am really looking forward to slightly shorter winters!

Finally finished moving...

into our storage unit. We finished boxing and moving all our belongings and cleaned up our old place as of 12:15 AM!!! We arrived in Cheyenne at 1am and we are both exhausted. I was able to take a nap today with Joshua and am very glad I did, I fell more rested now. We probably would have been finished little earlier but I HAD to see my good friends, adorable new baby girl before we left.

I don't know how we did it but we got everything we own (besides the things we brought to Cheyenne) in our storage unit. We are going to be moving into our new apartment on the 15th of August and would LOVE some help if anyone would want to or are willing to. The storage unit is allowing us to use their u-haul for only 2 hours 5:30-7:30 pm on that Friday. If anyone would want to help let me know and I can give you the information. All we really need help with is getting everything to our apartment not unpacking it all. We really hate asking for help but we really could use it. I believe my in-laws are coming over to help for the occasion and we will be giving pizza out around 5pm for those who would like to help. If you can't help I understand (most of you reading this don't live in the same town) I just thought I would let you all know.

Well It looks like now all I have to do is enjoy my time with family, and friends, and wait for the next 2 1/2 weeks. We are looking forward to moving into our new place (if you couldn't tell already).

Packing

So we have been going to Gem City Bone and Joint to get empty boxes to put all our thing in. Well every time we go Joshua gets sad and said no, no, no, while pointing to the building. I think he is sad because the more boxes we get more of his toys and our belongings go away.

Today we sold my childhood desk, for $70 I was so happy. It was sad seeing it go, but I think it was going to a good place. A foreign student bought it and she said she really liked it. I am glad it was a woman who bought it. As Michael and the lady took the desk downstairs Joshua started pouting and crying . I don't think he even knew it existed until a week ago when we decided to sell it. He has such a soft heart.

Joshua also thinks that anyone looking at our apartment to rent it, is here for him to play with. A girl and her mother looked at the house and as they were walking out the door Joshua was sobbing and pointing at them. I felt bad for the little fellow. It is true we all need friends, people who like us for us. So if you want a friend come to our house, just call ahead of time.

We found a place!!!

This morning was very eventful. I went garage-saleing with a friend of mine then looked at apartments and called about them until noon today. It was very crazy.

We gave our application and have been approved for an apartment. It is very nice, two bedrooms, one bathroom, a nice kitchen and pantry with a dishwasher, dining area, front and back doors. The one we looked at was nice and would be available by the beginning of this week and we will be looking at the apartment right next door tonight to see if it is nicer. If it is we will move into that one on the 15Th of August and stay with Michael's family until that apartment is ready.

I will post picture when we are all moved in. I'll also post pictures of our current apartment after we move out, so you can compare.

The things I really like about the new apartment: Nice plush grass out front, trees, back patio for the grill and Joshua's sand box, large master bedroom, bathtub, dishwasher, storage under the stairs, the main living area is on the first floor (no more climbing 20 steep steps to get to our front door), Joshua loves the stairs (going up and down them), pantry, cubbard and counter space. Close to my friends houses and two parks Joshua enjoys going to.

I think this about does it have a great weekend.

Moving Update

We still haven't received an email from the University saying we have an apartment waiting for us. I keep checking our email in anticipation. I am hoping before we move out we could move into something else here in town. It is just nice to have your own space and have all your things in the place you are living in. That way too we would have to move some things to Cheyenne and back.

We took three trips to the storage unit last night, all were boxes. We have even more boxes ready to take today and I need to go pick up even more boxes. We probably won't make another trip back to the unit until Sunday night or Monday night. Michael is going out of town with his dad so we will wait.

I am glad to see that we have plenty of room in our storage unit for all of our things. I was worried at first when we completely filled our third bedroom with boxes and had them overflowing into the living room. Joshua doesn't seem to care that we are packing his toys, bedding and other things. He thinks the storage unit is pretty cool and enjoys it when we make trips out there.

I don't know if I said this before but I hope we get into the River Village Apartments because every time we drive by them Joshua says "Josh House" and points to them. I feel really bad that we moved out of them in the first place.

Please be praying if the Lord wills it that we can move into the River Village Apartments soon. But in really any of the University Apartments will work for us.

Moving Update

Joshua and I drove by the University Apartments today to see if they have any openings, they said they didn't now but will probably have something open by the beginning of the school year and to call back. We got on the waiting list, paid the $100 to secure us being on the waiting list. Joshua and I picked out a storage unit and plan on moving everything we own (except some toys, clothes, and movies for us while living elsewhere).

I called my in-laws and asked them if they still want us to live with them for a little while. We will be living with them until we can get a University Apartment. I really wish we would have never moved from the University Apartments, but at the time we felt that was what we should do to save money. Now we would be saving money by moving to the University Housing. If you need to contact us leave me your email address and I can give you our cell phone number and delete you email address off of the comments page.

Now we need to pack, pack, pack. I plan on picking up some boxes and newspaper soon. We need to be moved out by August 1st.

Please be praying that we don't have to wait long for a University Apartment. We would love to move back and don't want to intrude on Michael's family too long. I'll keep you posted as time goes on. Thanks for your prayers.

University Aparments

Joshua and I rode our bikes to the University Aparments to see just how many aparments have nobody living in them. Just on one street alone there were 14 empty arpartments. I don't know how many of those are taken but they just haven't moved into them yet. Michael and I are getting excited about the possiblity of moving back into the apartments we had a great time in them and I really don't know why we moved out at the time. I know they are only two bedrooms and our place is three but we don't use the third bedroom alot so I think we would be fine.

We already have boxes filling our third bedroom, and I plan on picking more boxes up tomorrow if we are for sure moving. We just need to call the University Apartments to make sure they have an opening. I will be doing that in the morning. We will know for sure if we are moving and to where tomorrow. I'll create a post about our move, or lack of move, tomorrow.
