Cloth Diapers for $40.

Okay so I posted an add on Craigslist and for some reason it didn't work so I tried again, and it didn't work. So I am going to post on here that I have 3 cloth diapers size medium, 19-26 pounds, and 1 bumgenius cloth diaper all in one one size fits all diaper. I am wanting to sell these for $40, I bought them brand new and Joshua only used them twice. They work great we just decided to not use them. If you are interested just post a comment with your email address and I'll email you back on when you can pick them up. 2 of the diapers cost us $14.50, 1 was $17.95 and the other was $18.00. I also have two inserts for over nights. These diapers don't need covers and are either button or velcro.

Here is a picture of them. I hope they find a home.

Stroller Child Cover

So I am having a really hard time getting us ready to go on walks in this really cold weather. I want to go on walks so I can stay in shape for this pregnancy. Today while I was on a walk I got an idea. I found this item for sale online and decided I could make it myself. Part of the reason I don't like going on walks is because I feel Joshua is too cold. The next reason is my legs are too cold.

So I used an old Fleece blanket of ours (we have like 10 of them no joke) I thought this would be a good use for it. I folded it in half then sewed around the three edges , not the folded edge, then I cut it to size. I then sewed three large button holes, for the buckle to hold Joshua in, to go through. Then I bought two LONG zippers, sewed them on, ironed on some ball patches and there you have it.

Joshua had fun modeling for me.

I figure he should be warm enough in it in his pants, socks and shoes. On really cold days I'll put another blanket over his legs under the enclosure. Our stroller also has a plastic cover that comes down to cover his face so the wind blocks him. I am looking forward to trying this out tomorrow. I just need to get long underwear for me and I'll be set to go.

Update

Well not too much to report back. Sometime last week we all went to the park and I took a lot of pictures. Joshua loves the park so I wanted to go while it was still some what nice. We like a smaller park down the road from us, it is smaller than Washington park so Joshua has to stay on one play equipment. It makes is so much easier to watch him that way. It also has a little pond so it is fun going over to that to throw rocks in.

Last weekend Michael's sister Jennifer came over. Joshua had a lot of fun with her and was sad to see her leave. She played video games a lot and Joshua had fun watching her. Then Monday we all went to the pool so Joshua could swim. We hadn't been to the pool since summer so he had a lot of fun. Now that it is getting colder I am going to try to go once or twice a month. Afterwards he played in the indoor playground at the rec-center. He always hates to leave there too.

Last night we went to Ft. Collins to get our oil changed at the VW dealership down there. Joshua thought we were going to Cheyenne to see Grammy, Papa and Auntie Jennifer and kept asking for them. Even on our way out of town he was saying his names. While there we ate at the Noodel and Company. It was pretty good and Joshua loved his meal. That was all we did while we were there but it was a nice evening.

So today we drove to Cheyenne to get some professional pictures taken of Joshua. From what I have seen of them they turned out wonderful and I cannot wait to get them up on our wall.

Here is the link to see the pictures. http://staceyjphotog.blogspot.com/ She did a WONDERFUL job and we will be going back to here when our new little baby is born.

Thank you so much Stacey for taking the time out of your day to take such wonderful pictures of my son and us. I cannot wait to purchase the pictures from you...

Joshua and his friend

Yesterday Joshua's friend Ryan came over to play. They had so much fun playing in our back patio area. They played in the sand box, colored on the sidewalk with chalk, played in the grassy area with some big bouncy balls, they had a blast. Here are some pictures of their play time together. I am glad Joshua has a boy that he gets a long well with (most of the time) and enjoys his company.

Having fun being little boys. I love their smiles.

Here is a video of Ryan and Joshua bouncing on the balls we brought outside. They had so much fun doing this and no one got hurt.

Potty training

Yesterday we started potty training again... I am going to stick with it this time. Today alone he sat on the toilet 9 times and produced something, whether it be a drop or a lot of urine. He has yet to have a BM on the toilet so I am wondering if he will be going in his training pants soon.

I wasn't going to start potty training him until he was 3 but I am tired of him waisting diapers. Every time he would go even if it was just a little bit he would say he 'poopy' and demand a new diaper. So we were going through many diapers in a day. Today he woke up with a diaper and has been wearing training pants from Wal-mart ever since, and hasn't had a single accident.

Today at Bible study he came running in from outside pulling down his pants saying 'poopy'. That usually means he has already gone so I was a little concerned. His pants were dry so I rushed him to the bathroom and he went. I was so proud of him. Right now we are doing a sticker chart (I got the idea from my sister-in-law Misty) So every time he goes and is successful in any way he gets to put a sticker on the chart. In a week if he has done well we will go to the Dollar Store and get him a cheep treat. I am hoping this will excite him to continue going on the toilet. We tried giving him a couple semi-sweet chocolate pieces when he went on the toilet but that is now old news and he doesn't seem to care about them so much any more.

Anyway. I thought today was a good potty training day and I had to share it. :) I am sorry if this was a little too much information.
