Random pictures of my cuties!!

The other day there was a hot air balloon in the air. This is the third balloon I've seen since we have moved here. I really want to know who it belongs to and pay to go up in it. I love the balloons against the mountains, they look beautiful!

Joshua is 4 1/2 years old

On August 19th we celebrated Joshua's half birthday. We haven't ever celebrated a half birthday before but I thought it would be fun. Joshua is always asking for things and there is never a holiday close by so I thought we should start celebrating more often. I crochet some more play food for his kitchen, some eggs in a half carton, a market bag, lolly pop, some carrots, and a cookie.

That morning I went to Albertsons to pick up a cake (I had them pipe on a turnip for me), then we went to the park. After the park Will took a nap at home, we ate lunch then went to a splash pad park quite a ways from our house. After the second park of the day Joshua was very hungry so I took the boys and Jennifer to Chickfila. Joshua loved playing there and he ate his food all gone. Joshua was happy that his Dad was able to meet us at the restaurant on his break.

Once Michael got home from work we had Joshua's cake. Joshua loved the cake and thought it was silly that we put a turnip on the cake. Joshua really likes the book A Birthday for Cow and Duck is always trying to put a turnip in or on the cake. This has been Joshua's favorite book for a couple years now. Now if you ask Joshua how old he is he will tell you "I'm four and a half!".

A nice park

I found a cute little park about a 10 minute drive from our place (I think it is the closest park from our house). It has a lot to do and a little pond close by. I accidentally found it while I was garagesaleing and told Joshua we would go back one day so the 18th I made it happen. Joshua was so happy that we went to that park and said 'I hope to go there again'. It was too hot for Will to enjoy the park so we will have to make a lot of trips there in the Fall and Spring when it is nice and cool.

The fountain downtown

On the 16th we took the boys downtown to play in the fountain. Will had a lot of fun watching Joshua run around and be crazy. Joshua loved the water hitting him and of course he enjoyed playing with the other kids.

Joshua about to be hit by the water.

Paddle boating

Michael's sister Jennifer stayed with us for 11 days and while she was here we were able to go on a couple of dates. On August 13th we went Paddle boating, then ate dinner at Red Lobster. Paddle boating only cost us $5.00 for a half hour of boating, I don't think we made it that long. It was such a nice day and not too hot. There were ducks on the pond, some other boaters were feeding them. Red Lobster was great too, I love getting gift certificates!

Washington Park

On the 11th of August we went to Laramie to see some friends and go to Will's 15 month check up. Joshua wanted to go to the park while we were there, he loves Washington park, so I took some pictures. After the park we went to a good friends house to visit and enjoy a wonderful meal then off to the doctors office after that. It was a short trip but I am very thankful I still live so close to Laramie so I can go up for the day if I want to.

Water table and sprinkler time.

Joshua loves playing with this sprinkler (thank you Danielle), Will loves playing with the water table. Sometimes I think he wishes he could join Joshua running around in the water, maybe next summer. For now Will loves to play with the water table. I usually just leave his clothes, which end up soaked in the end. :) His favorite thing to do is drink it, thankfully I put clean water in the table every time we use it. Unfortunately there won't be many more sprinkler days before the cooler weather. We will have to do that more.
