Second trip to the dentist

Monday we drove to Cheyenne so Joshua could go to the Children dentistry there. He didn't enjoy going too much last time but I really talked it up this time and he was very excited to go. He asked me all last week when he would be able to go to the dentist and then on Monday he didn't want to go to his Grammy's house until he had been to the dentist. I am glad he was excited and had a great trip. He let the hygienist clean his teeth and he even let the doctor check him too. The last time we went Joshua screamed when he had to get his teeth checked by the doctor. I am so thankful our insurance covers the entire visit, Joshua loves the clinic and as long as we live there I plan on going back.

Sorry the pictures are in reverse order. I can never get it straight!

This picture is of Joshua getting his prize at the end of the visit for being such a good boy. He got two tokens for one prize, this was right up his alley because he LOVES turning quarters to get prizes. On the opposite wall is a big bulletin board for names of kids who are cavity free. At the end of the month his name goes in a drawing. For what I don't know, and yes he was cavity free!!!

My little cook.

Last week I decided to open a shop selling the little things I love to make. Joshua has been asking me what I am making and who they are for. He was starting to feel left out so I decided to give him his cookies and apron that I made him for Christmas. Here are some pictures of him enjoying his early gift. The other pictures are some of the sugar cookie sets I'll be selling in my shop soon.

My little pumpkin

He is almost able to sit up on his own with just pillows behind him. He still wants to fall to the sides and font and back.

Picking out our pumpkins

Yesterday we went to Safeway to pick out pumpkins to carve and have some for decoration. We won't be carving them until a few days before Halloween but I thought it would be nice to have some for decoration until then. Joshua had a fun time picking out pumpkins, I think Michael enjoyed it too! Will was cold and clung to me the entire time. Joshua was a little disappointed to find out we weren't carving them that day and that it would be a while before we would do anything to them. He remembers lighting up our pumpkin last year to look at it in the bathroom. Sometimes he has quite the memory. Next year I would love to go to a farm to get the pumpkin then maybe our boys can have fun petting the animals and playing the games they have there.

5 months old

I cannot believe Will is 5 months old now. The last 5 months have zoomed by. Will is such a character. He loves to smile, laugh, play with toys, and play with his brother. He likes rice cereal now and eats it once or twice a day. Last night he was fussing really bad and I tried EVERYTHING to make him happy. My last resort was to try feeding him rice cereal, he must have wanted that because he was silent the moment I started to feed him.

He can now laugh, roll over, fly on his belly really well, eat rice cereal, and he play with toys. He enjoys bath time now which is fun. Our nights are getting better. He was getting up every 2 hours during the night but just a couple of nights ago he has given me at least one 5 hour stretch. :) YEAH!! We like to get our sleep!

Will has another well visit with the doctor at 6 months!!

UW Football!

Yesterday Michael's dad drove over from Cheyenne so we could all go to the UW football game. He had an extra ticket so I was able to get in, and we bought a student guest pass for Joshua. The game was good and the company was wonderful, thank you Papa for the tickets. It was great to see you again, thank you for coming!

Will did great at the game, he just isn't used to the noises and wind so he had a melt down around the end of the 2nd quarter but once I was able to get him calm down he did great then he fell asleep at the end of the 3rd quarter. Joshua could have done better, and I should have brought things for him to do. I usually bring some books and something for him to color but I forgot this year so he was bored a lot and complained a lot. Hopefully the next game, if we go, will be better. I am exhausted from the event, I had fun but am glad it is over.

Our family all dressed up in UW clothes. As you can see Joshua wasn't pleased about having our family picture taken. This is how our picture sessions usually go. I hope that changes soon!
