Clothes

Yesterday I was blessed with a ton of boy clothes. We got a lot of 2T-5T clothes off of free cycle as well as some smaller sized clothes. Joshua had a blast trying on all the clothes. Normally he would rather go around the house with only his diaper on but he wanted to play dress up I guess. It was very cute.

In this picture he is wearing 5 shirts, one pair of pants and 4 pairs of shorts.

Here he is wearing 5 shirts, one pair of pants, and two pairs of shorts.

This event reminded me of the time on the TV show Friends when Joey wears all of Chandler's clothes. I thought it was pretty funny, he looked very bulky. Click this to watch the show.

Our Christmas celebration update.

Our Christmas lunch went okay, the pot roast turned out well as did the salad and corn. The potatoes, however were way too salty I even followed the recipe. Later I even looked back a the recipe I followed on line and it was exactly what I did. The rolls burned, I really wish I could get an oven one of these years that doesn't burn most of what I put in it. It take me for ever to learn the oven then it is time to move. The cake was too crumbly, but at least it tasted well. :) Here is a picture of our place settings on our table.

On Saturday Michael's family came over so we could celebrate Christmas together. They are all leaving for Iowa on Saturday so this was the only weekend that would work for us all. All week Joshua said he didn't want Saturday to come, I don't think he understood all that was going to happen. Our family arrived around 9:00am, Joshua was so happy to see them pull up and I knew he would be.

They brought in way too many presents with them; from them, some of our friends in Gillette, and other family. It was crazy all the presents that ended up around our tree. Joshua was very excited to open all of his gifts and play with everything. He made out pretty well this year. He got some more train tracks, some train cars, a doodle pad, a Thomas the Train computer, Some clothes, a tool kit, and a play kitchen. I think that is all. He loves everything and he plays with everything every day. Thank you every one for all the gifts. You really don't have to go all out like that, but thank you.

Joshua had so much fun opening presents he found an empty box and would put his blankets in it. He really wanted to put it under the tree but it wouldn't fit. Then he would open it up and show us his present. He is so cute, and has such a wonderful personality.

Here are some pictures of the event.

It was so nice having everyone over for the day but it all went way too fast. Thank you everyone for all the wonderful gifts and company.

Name tags for the table settings

Last week I got an idea from Stacy J. to make these glass balls. I wasn't able to find the same glass balls as she was able to but I found something that worked great. One thing I changed was instead of painting the outside of the balls I had Joshua pick out the paint colors, added water to the paints, and poured the paint inside the ball and shook it around. Then I added a lot of glitter to the ball and had him shake that around. Then I made little name tags from Card stock and wrote the names of our family members on them. Since these are gifts from Joshua I thought it would be neat to have the name cards read what he calls us, Mommy, Daddy, Auntie and so on. Here are the final results. I'll post more on our Christmas celebration later.

Fry Sauce

Last week I decided to take Joshua to our Burger King so he could play in the indoor play land while I read my book. We bought lunch, took our food to our table and I realized I missed something... Fry Sauce. I went up to the counter and asked for some and she said "I am sorry we are discontinuing it". I was so sad. I love fry sauce it is the perfect combination of Mayo and Ketchup I just can't get enough with my fry. I don't know if "we are discontinuing it" means that only our Burger King is no longer carrying it or if all Burger Kings are no longer carrying it. I remember going on various trips and noticing that not all Burger Kings carry it. Maybe it is not in that high of a demand.

Later we all went for dinner and I told Michael about how Burger King no longer had fry sauce. He then looked at me and said "I don't think I want to go any more".

I love you.

Every since I can remember when ever I would leave my mom or dad in the car and would be waving to the out the window I would say I love you to them in sign language. It has always been a thing my mom, especially, would do. We have been showing Joshua the same sign when ever we leave Grammy and Papa's house or when we leave each other as we are walking out the door we say I love you to who ever is left at the house. Joshua, just this week, started picking up on and thought he should start doing it himself. I am so impressed and proud that he can do it at age two. If my mom could see him do that her heart would melt. :) Here is a picture telling me that he loves me. I just had to get it on camera.

I love the upside down sun glasses.

He is able to put the correct fingers up and down by himself. Every now and then he needs a little help but for the most part he can do it all. Today we went to the Wyoming Union to give Michael his lunch, as we were leaving he showed Michael his hand as he said 'I love you' which sounds more like 'I uv ewe'. After he told Michael that he told our two male friends that he loves them too, since they were there too and we were leaving. Our friends thought it was very funny and Joshua did too.

I got a camera!!!

Michael surprised me with a camera yesterday, I was very pleased to see it and couldn't wait to get to know it.

Here are some pictures of our tree and some of Joshua playing in our snow. The snow has been falling all day long so Joshua was wanting very badly to go out and play in it. I was able to keep warm in snow pants, I also walked laps around our court yard. I am surprised he stayed outside for as long as he did, he seemed to have a great time.

Look at all our snow, and it keeps coming down.

Joshua just before going outside.

Joshua got some new pajamas yesterday at walmart. He love Mario and anytime he sees him he goes crazy. He calls him 'gootie' because the first Mario game I introduced him to was Super Mario Galaxy or Super Mario gootie :) He loves watching me play the game and if he could have his way I would be playing it all day. I have to make sure I set a timer so he knows that when it goes off it is time to turn the tv off. Here is a video clip of him being proud of his new PJs.
