Potty Training

Joshua is doing so great potty training. Once yesterday he ran over to the potty chair saying he had to go and he had a BM. Then at least 4 times today he ran over on his own to go potty and one of those time he has a BM. I am so proud of how well he is doing with potty training. I haven't had to ask him if he has to go for the last 3 hours. He will just run over to the chair drop his drawers and go on his own. He is getting stickers every time he goes potty and on the tenth sticker he gets a treasure.

Here is a picture of his treasure chest after he took a few items out of it.

Here is a picture of him playing with his play dough, the play dough was one of his treasures.

I am so proud of Joshua.

Today was the official start of potty training. Other than the diapers in the diaper bag we no longer have any diapers in the house. He is only allowed to wear underwear during the day and pull ups during his naps and night time. Every time he goes potty he gets a sticker and on the 10th sticker he gets a prize from the treasure chest. The treasure chest is just some really cheep toys we bought at the dollar store. He doesn't care about the stickers but it is a good way to keep track of how many times he went on the toilet.

Today we had a few accidents, which is to be expected. For the most part when ever I told him he needed to try to go potty he would. All through out the day I told him if he needs to go potty just take off his underwear and go on his portable potty chair that is down stairs. Of course he never would but I thought I would keep telling him this. Well tonight I was putting somethings up stairs and I heard the toilet lid fly up. I peeked down stairs and there he was sitting on his chair. He stood up and very happily said he went potty. Of course I made a HUGE deal out of this. I was so proud that he went on his own without me asking him if he needed to.

I am looking forward to what tomorrow will bring.
