Funny stuff

So this morning I took Joshua to the eye doctors for a regularly scheduled appointment and everything went great! Joshua said some very funny things and I wanted to share.

The Doctor had to dilate his eyes. I'm not sure why but that is what happened. He was not a fan of getting the drops in his eyes but once they were in he was fine. The Doctor said we could go run an errand while waiting for his eyes to dilate so we ran to Albertsons. We got our three items and went to the check out stand. As we were standing in line Joshua was eating his free cookie...
Joshua said "Mom, I see two cookies!"
Me "What! Let me see your eyes."

This was followed with a lot of laughing on my part then Joshua joined me. One pupil was so big you couldn't really see any more of his blue eye and the other one was so small. Like so... o O It took a while for me to stop laughing. I then carried him back to the eye doctors since he wasn't seeing well, they put more stuff in his eyes so the other one would dilate. It worked and everything went well.

Just before we left ...
The Doctor "So is Santa coming to your house tonight?"
Joshua "Ha... Noooooooo!"

He thought it was funny that Santa would come to his house. I think he doesn't know Santa could be real or that he could believe in him if he wanted to. He was cute.

I have tried to put pictures on our blog of us making gingerbread houses but it isn't working. I'll try again later.

Joshua, the ham.

Joshua is so funny with his silly faces that he loves to make. He was inspired to make silly faces by his second cousin Sofia and now he cannot get enough. He has always been fond of making silly faces even before he turned one year old. I guess he never really thought he could make silly faces when ever I take pictures of him.

Joshua received his first birthday card in the mail this week. He LOVES cards and loves opening our mail for us. He thought this was a wonderful gift. His Mimi (my Aunt Twila) gave him the card with three one dollar bills inside it. When he saw the bills he got excited and said 'more cards'. He is so cute. This picture is of his first reaction of the card.
