Will is a pro!!

Last night as Michael and I were watching a movie I could hear Will start to wake up and fuss on the baby monitor. We have a video monitor so we can see what goes on. Well Michael and I were watching Will get upset that his pacifier was not in his mouth. I was about to save him when he found the pacifier (in his sleep) and put it back in his mouth with his eyes closed. It was the cutest thing to watch. About 5 minutes later the same thing happened but this time the pacifier was a little difficult to get to and he almost dropped it through the rails of his bed. As I was going up stairs to help him out Michael yelled up (a quiet yell) that he was able to get the pacifier in his mouth. Will then covered himself up with a blanket rolled over and went to sleep. I wonder how often this happens at night. It sure makes me want to put a lot of pacifiers in his bed at night!

Andi is a complete pro at the pacifier thing as well...I have it clipped to her Pjs at night as well (like during the day), and she can find it half asleep, with her eyes shut.....so convenient!

This brings back so many memories! I remember loving the day that Lydia learned how to "feel out" where her pacifiers were in the bed, grab it, put it back in her mouth and go back to bed. Makes for a few more hours of precious sleep for us moms!

My friend Jami actually does sprinkle quite a few paci's around Madison's crib at night so she can always find one. That way they don't have to worry about getting up to help her in the middle of the night. Since Will is a paci boy, I would totally suggest doing the same. That is until you want to start weaning him from the paci.

We used to put like 10 different paci's in Ryan's crib when he slept for this exact reason! Like a little crown of paci's all around his head.

Yeah, Weston has about 5 pacifiers in his crib every night just to make sure his fingers can find one when he needs it and I can stay in my warm little bed:-)
