My son swallowed my toe ring today and I would greatly appreciate prayer that it passes quickly.
I called the ER and they said I should have him go in for an X-ray, unless I have a physician in town then to call them first. So I called the Children's Clinic and talked to a nurse. She said the Dr. isn't worried about it since the ring is smaller than a nickle. I told her I was concerned because it wasn't completely round, it is the type of ring that you have to pinch to make smaller. She talked to the Dr. again and said as long as there is nothing sharp on the ring like stones he should be fine and pass the ring soon. She didn't give me a time period to look for the ring. Now I have the joy of looking though my son's poo. Lucky me!
I have to keep close eye on him that he doesn't start vomiting or have a fever, signs of infection that kind of thing.
Aside from that my son is practically potty trained. Yesterday morning we were at the library and he told me he had to go and went on the big toilet. Then last night we were at Wal-mart and told me he had to go and went on the big toilet again. I will ask him through out the day if he has to go to the bathroom and he usually says no thank you. Then later will go on his own. We do make him try to go before bed time though to prevent night and nap time wets. He has woken up a couple of times in the last two weeks in the morning with a dry diaper. :) I am so glad this is going well for us. At age 2 and 2 1/2 he wanted nothing to do with potty training. I guess just before 3 worked for us. Michael said he is making up for the fact that he didn't sleep well for us in his first 14 months of life.

Oh my goodness! I will pray that everything will be fine as the ring passes! That is wonderful about Joshua's potty training.
I am SO glad to hear that potty training is going so well!!! I'm sure by the time the baby comes, he will be completely out of diapers... which would be awesome!
I will be praying too! How scary! YAY for him getting potty trained! What a good boy!!
Yikes! I'll be praying for you all in that! That's quite scary indeed! I'm glad you're getting everything else worked out before the baby arrives! I'm sure that'll make life MUCH easier on you all!
Love ya sister!
Well Erin, he isn't fully potty trained we still ask him if he needs to go every now and then. He also still wets at night and during nap time. But that will make it easier for when the baby arrives. :)
Hihi that's quite a funny story :) - but we'll pray it passes through ok, which I'm sure it does. Meantime, have fun going through your sons poo! My grandma swallowed a push pin once (indeed, a little more pointy!), and told me all about it as well haha!
