First UW football game.

Yesterday was our first UW football game. We went two hours early so we could go to the tailgate party outside the football stadium. They had all sorts of food to eat and blow up games for the little ones. Joshua had a blast doing everything, he didn't want to leave. It was a very warm day yesterday so Joshua's cheeks got bright pink. He did great sitting in the stands, much better than last year. I brought coloring books for him, picture books, food, and drinks. We will deffinatly be going to more games this fall. Once we got home Joshua and I took a nap on our bed it felt great to finally get a nap in. ( the last two days he hasn't been wanting a nap).

Last night we walked to LaPrele park. I love that park for many reasons but we chose that park last night because it is smaller and we can sit and watch him and not have to help him do everything.

Cards

I left for bible study tonight at 6:50 or so and was gone for a couple of hours. I was planning on having Joshua in bed asleep by then so I could go by myself. He didn't get a nap in today so I thought that was a pretty doable goal. Well 6:50 came my friend called to see if I wanted a ride and Joshua was still awake. Michael said not to worry and I left.

My friend dropped me off at 9:00 and the lights were out, which I thought was a pretty good sign that Joshua was asleep. I walk in the door to Baby Einstein on the television and my 2 1/2 year old looking at me from the top of the couch. He was awake and looked VERY tired. I asked him if he wanted to lay down "Yes" he said reaching up for me to hold him. We made it to the stairs "cocoa milk" he said, so I found a sippy filled it with milk and up stairs we went. He knows he isn't allowed milk in bed so we move to his chair. As I watch him drink his milk and hold his blanket I am in awe of him as if he were a newborn again. I love that he needs a blanket and I love how he fiddles with the blanket until he has that perfect corner for him to move between his fingers. I love the drinking sounds he makes and watching his eyes fall slowly down. When he finished the sippy we moved straight to bed ( I know a terrible thing to do. Yes tonight he didn't brush his teeth right before bed but he did two times in the last two hours, and we don't do that every night). I covered him up kissed him and told him good night.

I am really not upset at all that he stayed up two hours past what I wanted him to stay up till. I found out that he and Michael played the card game WAR for an hour. Joshua now can tell you all four suits of a deck of cards. I am very impressed and cannot wait to play this game with him later. I love seeing my guys have a good time, and know that Joshua can do with out me sometimes. This is good for both of them. I am looking forward to next Tuesday night.

Tonights dinner

So tonight I made a homemade lasagna and even went by the recipe. I had it all finished with foil on top ready to go in the oven. The Winegars were going to come over for dinner at 6:30 and the time was 5:30. Perfect I thought, the lasagna will be coming out of the oven just in time for dinner. Just as I was putting the lasagna into the oven it slipped from my fingertips and landed face down on the rug. I stared at it for a couple minutes thinking, That did NOT just happen. Then I cried. It was very sad. So I rushed Joshua to the store to pick up a frozen lasagna, I looked at the back of the box and it said it would take an hour to cook. Not enough time for that. Well we just ate spaghetti with them two nights ago so I couldn't make that. I bought a jar of sauce and went to the check out stand. I made Penne noodles with a doctored up tomato sauce, the jar with tomatoes and black olives in it. I was so thankful to see that Kristen had brought a wonderful desert. I really needed that after my afternoon.

I now know that our oven door is too heavy to open with one hand full of food. next time I'll set the dish down before I open the door.

Pictures of our new place

Well I finally have new pictures of our place posted. We are not all the way unpacked, our shelf is still a wreck and we have a few boxes to unpack as well as some pieces of furniture we don't know what to do with yet.

I asked Michael if he missed our old place yet and he said no, I don't miss it at all either. When we moved to our Custer house I missed our University Apartment right away. Joshua likes his house a lot too. We have cut down on his toys a little bit, we just don't have the space here. Our room is very big and can hold a lot of furniture. I have the crib and changing table set up so we can store things under and in it. We have no where else to store them so they would just be sitting up against the wall.

Our Front Door

A nice grassy area for Joshua to play in out front.

Grassy area and extra parking out back.

Our back door, Joshua's sand box and bike.

Our room, picture taken from the door. Our dresser and Michael's closet is to the right, my closet is to the left.

Bathroom

Joshua's room. Inside the closet is a toy organizer with a ton of toys in it. The Toy box and his foot stool is also full of toys.

Our living room, picture taken from the front door. You can see our back door on the right, our kitchen is just behind the book shelf.

We are home and moved in.

It feels so great to be back in Laramie. I am loving the cooler weather already. We moved into our house on Friday the 15th and now only have 6 or 7 boxes left to go through. Our house feels like our home, we are very pleased.

I will post pictures of our place when I get the clutter cleaned up a bit. Hopefully by the end of this week.

Thank you eveyone who helped, or watched kidos so we could move. We were able to get everything moved into our apartment in two hours. That says a lot for how much stuff (JUNK) we own. We are in the middle of purging and hopefully everything will fit in our little living space.

Michael is doing well staying busy with school, work and being a dad. He has math camp all week and starts school on Monday. He will then only have three semesters until he gets his Masters in Finance. I am so proud of him.

We do still have our old phone number, if you want our new address leave me a message and I'll email it to you. Thanks

Texas trip number two

This ends our Trip to Texas. We met up with my friend Katrina in Dallas, at the zoo. My cousin and her children went with us it was such a wonderful time and great to spend more time with my cousins. I miss them all and hope to see them again before another 4 years is up.

I added the older pictures first so the older pictures are on the bottom. They are a little out of order, sorry for that.

A play ground outside my friends aparment. I love the fact that it is covered, what great sun protection. They should do that more all over the states.

Kyle and Joshua on Kyle's bike. I cannot believe they are both looking at the camera at the same time.

The day that we flew back home, the 13th, Joshua was busy, busy, busy. He didn't take a nap and probably didn't even sit still for more than 2 minutes on the plane. The moment we got in the car (5pm) he fell asleep and stayed asleep so I moved him from the car to my sisters couch. Then at 6pm I realized that he might be asleep for awhile since he didn't get a nap and it was really 7pm Texas time, the time we were now used to. So I moved him to my sister's bed and he slept from 5pm until 6:30am I was plesantly surprized and slept very well my self that night.
