Denver zoo

On August 5th a friend of ours in Laramie invited us to go to the Denver zoo with them. They had some free passes so we drove on down to use them. We had a great time, of course the boys had a wonderful time playing. Joshua and Lucas get a long great and little Oscar is a cutie. We saw penguins, elephants, monkeys, and many other animals. Will did great in the stroller and didn't complain at all. It is so nice to live so close to Denver so we can go to the zoo, aquarium and children museum when ever we want to.

Bounce!!

On August 4th we took the boys to bounce in Loveland, CO. When Michael was at an interview this Spring I took the boys and they had a great time so we thought we would go as a family. Joshua LOVED going down the slides and jumping around and Will had a great time going down the slides with his mommy and daddy. They even had a smaller area for the babies and toddlers to play.

Our slide

Here's are some pictures of Will playing on our new slide that I bought from a garage sale for $4.00. He loves that slide but it is now put away because he keeps getting injured on it. Maybe in a few months he will be ready for it again.

My sister Erin came to visit

July 29th my little sister Erin flew from Oregon so she could go to Gillette to be with her Fiance. We were all very excited to see here and didn't expect to see her twice in one year!!

Joshua and Jennifer playing in the back of the van. We got to DIA very early for Erin's flight so I put the back seats down in the van and Joshua and Will played in the back while they watched a movie.

Will enjoys playing with all the buttons on the car, I think he could do that all day.

Will playing with my sister Wendee's cat Max. Will loves playing with all of her cats but this one in particular likes Will and sticks around for Will to play with him. He is old and blind so that might be why he doesn't run off quickly.

Erin was talking about how ugly her toes were so I thought I would give her a pedicure. She just graduated from beauty school so I told her she isn't allowed to judge me. I washed her feet and put lotion on them, then painted them the only way I know how... from behind. She thought this was a very funny method but it got the job done and I think they turned out well.

The final product.

My excited sister ready to see her Fiance

Will, Michael, Jennifer and Joshua ready to go. We dropped off Jennifer in Cheyenne on the way to Gillette so it wasn't so crowded the rest of the trip.

We made it to Gillette only 15 more minutes to go.

My sister Erin with her Fiance Forrest. Congratulations you two!!!

Friends from Texas came to visit.

July 27th until noon on the 28th our friends Katrina and her children Hannah and Kyle came to play. They live in Texas and it had been a year and a half since the last time I saw them. Joshua had a lot of fun playing with his friends and I loved having Katrina here for me to talk with again, I have missed them all so much.

Kyle, Will and Hannah playing in the sand box. Will doesn't like the sand so he would sit up on his bum so his hands, feet, and legs wouldn't touch the sand.

I set up a rug for Will to play on outside since he hates the concrete, grass and sand.

Will's first ice cream cone

On July 26th we took the boys to a really neat park called Fossil Park. They have really big slides for Joshua to go on and a bunch of toys that go round and round. Will loved playing on the smaller slides. While we were there Joshua found this bowl that goes round and round really fast. He went on this for quite awhile, Michael kept stopping him to make sure he was feeling fine. Joshua's answer was always yes and they kept spinning around. After that he went on a merry go round type of thing and loved that.

While I was getting Will in the car to go home I saw Joshua laying his head down on Michael's lap, he didn't look good. He kept complaining that his head hurt, so we gave him a plastic bag to hold in the car just in case he needed to use it. About a block away from the park he started throwing up in the bag. We felt so sorry for him, he was very upset. We stopped the car got him cleaned up, fortunately he used the bag, and gave him a new bag just in case. Michael asked him if ice cream would make him feel better, of course Joshua said yes.

So we went to Dairy Queen. I have been craving a chocolate dipped cone from there for quite awhile now so that is why Michael thought of Dairy Queen. I got a cone for Joshua, Michael and I, and was wanting to get a cookie for Will but they didn't have any. Will was not happy that he didn't get one too so he was throwing a fit. He was very upset and angry the first part of the way home then about a mile away he was so sad, he was sobbing. I had eaten a good portion of my ice cream cone so I gave him the rest of mine. His tears instantly dried up and he was so happy. He would eat the ice cream cone by putting it in his mouth until his lips touched it then he would take the cone out and lick his lips. He was very cute about it all. When we got home we let him enjoy the rest of his cone on the ground outside so he wouldn't make a mess in the house.
