12 Days of Christmas Tag

"On the twelfth day of Christmas my true love gave to me..."
1 Embarrassing moment: I once said my badder is the size of a peanut but instead of saying peanut I said something far more embarrassing. I will not tell you that word.

4 Places I want to go: Italy, Ireland, New York, Australia

5 Goals for the upcoming year: Have a healthy Baby, Start running during this coming summer, try to get sleep with a newborn and a three year old, loose the baby weight (when I get baby weight).

Mostly when he is upset), I love you, Let's read books, time to pray, no more 'gootie' (Mario), you have to wait until the sun wakes up or until Lunch or until Dinner, Do you want waffles, toast, or cereal? and you have to take two bites.

I love you.

Every since I can remember when ever I would leave my mom or dad in the car and would be waving to the out the window I would say I love you to them in sign language. It has always been a thing my mom, especially, would do. We have been showing Joshua the same sign when ever we leave Grammy and Papa's house or when we leave each other as we are walking out the door we say I love you to who ever is left at the house. Joshua, just this week, started picking up on and thought he should start doing it himself. I am so impressed and proud that he can do it at age two. If my mom could see him do that her heart would melt. :) Here is a picture telling me that he loves me. I just had to get it on camera.

I love the upside down sun glasses.

He is able to put the correct fingers up and down by himself. Every now and then he needs a little help but for the most part he can do it all. Today we went to the Wyoming Union to give Michael his lunch, as we were leaving he showed Michael his hand as he said 'I love you' which sounds more like 'I uv ewe'. After he told Michael that he told our two male friends that he loves them too, since they were there too and we were leaving. Our friends thought it was very funny and Joshua did too.

I got a camera!!!

Michael surprised me with a camera yesterday, I was very pleased to see it and couldn't wait to get to know it.

Here are some pictures of our tree and some of Joshua playing in our snow. The snow has been falling all day long so Joshua was wanting very badly to go out and play in it. I was able to keep warm in snow pants, I also walked laps around our court yard. I am surprised he stayed outside for as long as he did, he seemed to have a great time.

Look at all our snow, and it keeps coming down.

Joshua just before going outside.

Joshua got some new pajamas yesterday at walmart. He love Mario and anytime he sees him he goes crazy. He calls him 'gootie' because the first Mario game I introduced him to was Super Mario Galaxy or Super Mario gootie :) He loves watching me play the game and if he could have his way I would be playing it all day. I have to make sure I set a timer so he knows that when it goes off it is time to turn the tv off. Here is a video clip of him being proud of his new PJs.

Ice Skating

Last Friday night we all went Ice skating at the Rec-center ice arena. We had so much fun. Our church was sponsoring the event so we were able to get in for free, free skates, free pizza and soda. Joshua loved skating and did pretty well for an almost three year old. By the end he was able to stand up with out falling, while holding onto the red supporter. One of us was behind him the entire time, except during the picture below. He went around twice with me and a couple times with Michael. We all enjoyed the pizza too even Joshua. It was so nice seeing our friends, Joshua was able to see his little friends too. I am looking forward to going next year. Maybe Joshua won't need as much help then.

Thank you Debbie for letting us take some pictures with your camera. I am really hoping to get a new camera soon. (yes we still haven't found our camera or bought a new one)

Weird

This is a very weird combination of food but Joshua loved it. A small piece of cheddar cheese, one grape, and a small piece of honey ham lunch meat all wrapped together and eaten at the same time. Has any one tried this? I offered him a salad with grapes, cheese and lunch meat on the side. Michael and I were eating chef salads so I just kept his all separate. That is what he came up with. He is such a goofy kid. I ate a grape and piece of cheese and it tasted okay but I don't prefer my fruit with my cheese. Does anyone have any yummy fruit/cheese combo ideas that taste great?

I have heard of cheese with apples... but beyond that nothing.

What I have been thinking lately.

  • Why does my son have to go to bed angry and wake up angry. Last night was horrible and the night before. Monday night was Bible study so we got home very late, and Joshua didn't get to bed until 9:30. It was finally 10pm when he did fall asleep and he was balling the entire time. He woke up a few times in the night very upset. I told Michael I am making sure I leave the Church by 8:30 no matter what so he can get to bed at a reasonable time and hopefully not be so crabby.
  • I might start my own business selling my wood letters I make. A friend of mine a while ago suggested I start selling my wood letters I enjoy decorating. Just last week I made 6 letters (Hannah) for a friend of mine who is having a girl. I enjoyed it so much the thought came back into my mind that maybe I should make them by special order and sell them on the internet. The same friend who gave me the I idea, thanks Shannon, gave me the URL to a server that allows you to sell items on it and they don't ask for a penny from you. What a deal. All I would have to pay for are the credit card transactions, like a normal business would do. So I would LOVE prayer on this subject. I want to dive right on in and start it up but I also want to make sure this is GODS!!! will for me. I have jumped into things before with not much prayer and would really like God to back me up on this one first. I don't want to be miserable later.
  • I want Christmas to get here so Michael will be done with the semester.
  • My son is addicted to the television and it is very hard getting him off. Yesterday he watched a lot of TV and all afternoon he had a bad attitude and especially before he went to bed he did. A while ago he watched a lot of TV because we were sick and that evening he had a bad attitude. I think TV correlates with his bad attitude so I am cutting him off. I read an article that says children should get only 2 hours of screen time, movies, TV shows, computer games, and video games are all included. I think it is a good idea. So now in the morning he gets to watch "Super Why" a great reading show he loves to sing a long with and "Barney".
  • I love going to my pre/postnatal exercise class. It is on Tuesday and Thursday nights for an hour. I am able to get together with other pregnant women about 11 or 12 and exercise. I love being able to see everyone grow, and being able to see their babies after they have them. I was in this class when I was pregnant with Joshua and loved it, I couldn't wait to start taking the class again.
  • I want to feel our baby move. Like any pregnant women it is always amazing when you get to feel your baby move around. I especially want to feel the baby move since at my last appointment I didn't get to hear the heart beat. I know the doctor said everything is great but I am still concerned.
  • I want my son to sleep past 7am even if it is only on Saturdays. No matter what time he goes to bed he still wake us up at 7am or before. I would love it if he would make that time become a little later.
These are somethings that have been on my mind as of late. I thought I would type them down to get them off my shoulders.

This weekend

We had such a good time in Gillette this weekend. We drove up at 4pm after Michael got off of work and arrived around 8:30pm. On Saturday afternoon we went to Michael's grandparents 40th wedding anniversary. We were able to see a lot of Michael's extended family, we had a lot of fun it was great seeing everyone again. That afternoon we ate dinner, watched a movie and played rock band with my very good friend Shannon and her husband. I also had a good time playing with their daughter Lydia, she has such a sweet personality and is a lot of fun.Thank you for the wonderful weekend Shannon.
